Kind of a family of condiments. I didn’t realize formica was so pretty.
Angela (Coffee Shop name)is the daughter, now married with kids and no longer working there. Alex, the father, still shows up. Jerry, the son, and his wife work there all the time. Kids and teachers from the local school eat lunch there. The next closest coffee shops are on 181st Street. Not good.
I think of this as Washington Heights because if you’ve been to Angela’s, you recognize it.

Question by Regina K: How to teach kids to write their own skits?
This summer I am teaching a Theater Program at a summer camp where I am supposed to have the campers (ages 10 – 14) write their own skits (in groups of about 5 – 10 kids) and perform them for the rest of the camp. How would I go about teaching this class? What kinds of techniques could I use to help the children come up with ideas for their skits?

try the charatcher setting situation cards. we use those all the time in drama it helps alot. becasuse for teens and pre-teens to have to fully come up the skit on there own put them under so much pressure. so try giving them the cards and let them build around them you will be very suprised with the result.
