‘In the Great Wide Open’, Field’s of Lyngdalsheiði, Iceland

I loved Iceland for many reasons but one of the most impressionable parts of this remote island is the fact that money and land ownership hasn’t broken this island into private plots, everyone has access to every part of the island and there aren’t buildings and fences obstructing your view. Iceland has the most amazing views. No trees (lava laden soil is too rich in sulfur), no buildings, just nature at its finest. My Icelandic friends drove Erik, my buddy and I into the interior and we did a little off roading. We came across this beautiful field situated in front of the foot hills. I set up my tripod and told everyone to go and pose in the field. Like disobedient children, that pose never happened and instead I captured the ‘kid’ like personality in the three of these that hides so well in our day to day actions. I hope you enjoy.
