Question by ****: What causes some kids to be sent to a juvenile detention center?
I went to a juvenile detention center before to work and I wondered what the kids did for them to be sent there. Some of the kids look like good kids. I know one kid was selling his body to get a sex change, but what else can they have done to be sent there.

Most of them are there because of poor parenting.

    Simply put, a juvenile detention center is a jail for minors. Any offense that would put an adult in jail will put a juvenile in a detention center.

    They may also place you there if you are a habitual runaway.
