2 Girls with Baloons – 2 filles avec balons – Bangkok (the street)

Just testing what I can do…Saw these two little girls playing with pink baloons on a street of a Bangkok suburb. They were naturals and next day too went back and took a lot of them and their friends and some of the parents. The girl in the front pretty much stole the show on every photo…incredible how sure these kids can be of themselves and at the be so calm and respectful. It s one of the particular characteristics of Thai life that kids are awarded a very important place in the lives of the family and society. Their upbringing is quite different than in the Occident and they appear to assume their place with confidence and without question.
I could write a book about it and I believe essays have been written about the unusual (to us, as I am Euro/American too) ways of bringing up children here.
In any case I marvel…..
